A 12-year old girl crossed Einstein IQ

Introduction;
Huge amounts of research have been done on IQ - intelligence quotient (IQ)t- and many claims made about it. Holidays and junk food can make IQ drop. .. while being breastfeed  a big- head can make it go up. These are just a few  assertions discussed in an article.
IQ tests as we know them today were developed in the early 1900s, the first being the Stanford-Binet intelligence scales. Many have since been developed and measure slightly different things, say psychologists. The Stanford-Binet and the Wechsler intelligence scales remain the most popular.

Lidiya Sebstain;
A 12-year-old London resident of Indian origin scored highest on Mensa IQ Test and set new record. Her name is Lidiya Sebastian. She was born and brought up in London. She stood the person with highest Intelligence Quotient when she attempted Mensa IQ test. Lidiya crossed the IQ levels of popular scientists like Albert Einstein, Stephen Hawkings and others, said management of Mensa who conducted the test.

Einstein and Hawkings scored an IQ of 160 on Mensa’s IQ test but Lidiya defeated them with the highest IQ of 162. Thus she joined the one per cent of all entrants of Mensa, an organization for people who score highest IQ scores with 98 percentile or higher. Lidiya attained highest marks in the Cattell III B exam conducted by Mensa in London. Cattell III B consists of 150 questions. Lidiya’s father Arun Sebastian is a radiologist in Colchester general hospital. He mentioned that Lidiya participated in various IQ tests online.

What is IQ?
IQ Is the acronym for intelligent quotient, and refers to a score given for several standardized intelligence tests. The first of these was developed by French psychologist Alfred Binet in 1905. He constructed the IQ test, as it would lafter be called, to determine which children might need additional help in scholarly pursuits. Today, the IQ test is commonly based on some model of the Stanford Binet Intelligence scale.
The term ‘intelligence quotient’ was first coined in 1912 by German psychologist, William STERN who wanted to identify students that needed special help with the school curriculum.

The original formula for calculating IQ was:
(mental age divided by chronological age) x 100
In other words, a person’s intelligence level was measured as a quotient of their estimated mental age and chronological age. A 10-year-old child that had the mental age of a 12-year-old was considered to have an above average IQ of 120 [(12/10) x 100]

Chronological Age;
Chronological age is a measure of an individual's age based on the calendar date on which he or she was born. Chronological age is calculated on most psychological tests. It is measured in days, months and years. For example, let's say that you were born on July 22, 1990, and the day that you took the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale was February 21, 2013. Your chronological age on the date of testing would be 22 years, 6 months and 30 days

Mental age;
Mental age is the age level of an individual's mental ability. It is based on the age in which it takes an average individual to reach that same level of mental attainment. Mental age is usually measured by standardized intelligence tests. For example, early versions of the Stanford-Binet Intelligence Scales calculated a mental age based on how well a child performed on the test
.
Chronological Age Vs Mental Age;
When people ask how old you are, they are asking for your chronological age. Your chronological age is based on the date you born.
Your mental age is based on your intellectual development. If these  two are same you were said to be average intellectual Quotient

What is Mensa?
Mensa IQ was founded in England in 1946.The only one popular Mensa IQ society conducted IQ tests for bright people every walk of life with the objective of enjoying each other's company and participating in a wide range of social and cultural activities in the international arena.
What are Mensa's goals?

Mensa has three stated purposes:
1     to identify and foster human intelligence for the benefit of humanity,

  2      to encourage research in the nature, characteristics and uses of intelligence, and

3       to promote stimulating intellectual and social opportunities all over world.
