"I have been forced to make way to an open field every day under the cover of darkness to relieve myself. The owner of the land repeatedly insults me," she said.
Bablu and Archana married last May.

"Ask your parents to get the toilet built," Bablu has been telling her, Archana said.
"I am fed up with him and forced to leave him," she reportedly told the village panchayat..

The first transgender as Sub-Inspector of Police

What does Transgender mean?
.Transgender or Trans: means someone whose gender differs from the one they were given when they were born.  Transgender people may identify as male or female, or they may feel that neither label fits them.

Pritika-Yassin
Transition:  In order to express their chosen gender, transgender people may transition, or change, from the gender they were given at birth.  They may change their names, pronouns or style of dress.  Some transgender people also choose a medical transition, with the help of medical specialists, who will prescribe hormones and/or surgery.

Transsexual:  a person who lives in a different gender to the one they were given when they were born.  For example, someone who was called a ‘boy’ when they were born may feel very strongly that they are really a girl.  They would be called a Trans woman.  If someone was labelled a ‘girl’ at birth, and they later realize that they are male, they would be called a Trans man.

Gender Identity a person’s internal feelings, and the labels they use, such as male, female, or transgender. Website Launched For Trans genders

Fight for equal rights;
A first of its kind website offering round the clock support to Trans genders and providing a forum for them to share experiences was launched .The website -- www.transgender.com The messages were transformed and make them to organize protest in the streets in the countries worldwide. As per the census the 30 lakh trans genders in the world countries supported the protests including 4.9 lakh in India.
At last In April 2014, the Indian Supreme Court officially recognized the existence of the 'third gender and provided some constitutional rights, but little has changed on the ground level. Even today, there are many misconceptions.

.
Candidature approval;
The Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board has recently conducted written examination and Pritika applied for the exam. Since third gender has not been mentioned, she checked the Female option. Officials who recognized that Pritika is a transgender, they did not allow her to write the exam.
  With this, Pritika approached court to seek permission to attempt the exam. On obtaining permission, Pritika excelled in all tests in the procedure and was eligible for the post of Sub Inspector of police. But officials did not post Pritika at any station.

 "Pritika-Yassin"  a role model to other trans genders;.
So, once again Pritika approached Madras court and filed a petition. Primary bench headed by Justice Sanjay Kishan and Justice Pushpa Sathyanarayanan that heard the petition declared that Pritika who qualified in written, physical examinations is to be posted as Sub Inspector of police and passed orders regarding the same to the state’s home ministry. Arrangement of Numbers reversed on Calculator & Phone.

Calculator VS Phone

Reason for ZERO begins at bottom on both Phone & calculator;
The story begins back in pre-calculator days, when there were mechanical cash registers. These cash registers were designed with “0” at the bottom, and the numbers going up. This is because “0” is the most used number while making numerous calculations and it made complete sense to place it there so that it is accessible to the fingers easily. And when mechanical calculators made their appearance, they used the same format as the cash register with 0 at the bottom and 9 on top
.
Arrangement Numbers on the Calculators;
Later, when hand-held and electronic calculators were invented, they implemented the keypad arrangement of the existing calculators – 0 at the bottom, remaining numbers going from 1 in the bottom left corner to 9 in the top right corner. Hence, basically, it evolved from the cash register and the calculators still use the same pattern.

 Arrangement Numbers on the Phones;
But When Touch-Tone Telephones Were Invented, Why Did They Change Their Layout Without Simply Replicating the Calculator Keypad Layout?
Before the Touch-Tone phones emerged in the early 1960s, there were rotary dials. Instead of buttons, the numbers on the telephone were holes from 1-9, and then 0. The idea was to stick your finger in the hole and spin it around to dial each number.

In the early 1960s, researchers at Bell Laboratories were preparing to introduce an alternative to the rotary telephone, something they called push-button dialing (which later came to be marketed as “Touch Tone” dialing). But there was one big question in front of them: how to arrange the numbers. They conducted a study titled “Human Factor Engineering Studies of the Design and Use of Pushbutton Telephone Sets,” and tested several different telephone-keypad layouts to find out which was easiest to master.

Numbers reversed on Calculator & Phones;
At last the arrangement of numbers was finalized, after testing several layouts, including one that used two rows with five numbers each and another that used a circular positioning, it was determined that the three-by-three matrix that had 1, 2 and 3 across the top was the easiest for people to use and had the lowest error rate.

On the basis of this result, Bell engineers implemented the three-by-three matrix keypad design which people found easy to use and which is still in use today and has been adapted to smartphones as well.

Barber to Billionaire

 Barber to Billionaire

Childhood
Ramesh Babu a barber in Bengaluru
Ramesh Babu born in Bengaluru lost his father at the age of 7. He had no assets or sources of income other than the barber shop of his father. Relatives of Ramesh Babu rented their barber shop and paid Rs. 150 as rent per month. Since the amount would not be enough for livelihood, Ramesh’s mother worked as a cook in some houses. A family of 5 ie., three children, their mother and grandfather had to live on that Rs.150 plus the mother’s earnings, which was a tough job. They ate one meal in a day and starved during other half in a day.

Studies along with profession
The relative who rented Ramesh’s shop stopped paying rent by the time Ramesh was 9 years old. In order to add to mother’s earnings, Ramesh started barber work in father’s shop without putting a break to studies. He studied till polytechnic. Knowing about latest trends in hairstyles, he attracted youth in large numbers. His salon ‘Inner Space’ in Brigade Road thus became popular in Bengaluru.

Crucial period
During that time, the relative who skipped paying rent to Ramesh had bought a car. Competing with him, Ramesh purchased a Maruti Omni Van.  While his grandfather arranged some amount of money by mortgaging his property, Ramesh chose loan for remaining amount. Loan amount to be paid each month was Rs.6,800. Ramesh who worked only in salon did not know what to do with the Omni car. He used the van to go to salon, park it there and return home during evenings. Ramesh was worried that he bought the car just to compete with his uncle and it was of no use to him. That was when Ramesh’s life had a twist. A twist in the career

A twist in the career
In one of the houses where Ramesh’s mother worked, there was a woman named Nandini, who suggested him to give his car for rent to companies instead of keeping it idle. She did not stop with this. She spoke to her company’s management and arranged for renting Ramesh’s car. Thus barber Ramesh stepped into car hiring business. He came to know the all that he needs to know about the business and expanded it. The number of cars he owned increased. Ramesh felt that luxury cars would fetch better incomes than ordinary ones. Though many opposed the thought and said that investing too much was not a great idea, Ramesh went ahead with the idea. He bought expensive cars like Mercedes, BMW, Rolls Royce etc and ran the business. Within a short period of time, he succeeded in the business. Ramesh now owns as many as 200 cars.

Billionaire still ,,,,,,is a barber too..
One thing to be learnt from Ramesh is…he did not leave his first job (barber) even after he bought 200 cars. Ramesh who goes to his salon by Rolls Royce works there from 8 AM through 10 AM daily, looks after his car rental business till 4 PM. He then goes back to salon and works till 7 PM and then to car rentals and stays there till 10 PM. Thus Ramesh works 14 hours a day even after attaining a position wherein he can enjoy lavish life. He is a live example to show that ‘Hardwork pays off’. Ramesh Babu speaks Kannada and Telugu. When asked by a mediaperson if he has thoughts of expanding business to other states, Ramesh said that he has plans for a venture in Vijayawada in AP.

Message

The message to youth from Ramesh who was born in a very poor family and became a billionaire is: “There’s a phrase in Telugu which basically means that don’t forget your past, even if you reach the highest milestone in life. I truly believe in that. Work hard, be polite. Luck will come to you by itself.” With the inspiration from Ramesh Babu, let us all set targets, reach them and earn in the right way. Do not stop till the goal is reached. No person is a gem by birth. A little intelligence, socialization and indefinite determination will lead us to success path. All the best!

Father of E-mail - a boy from India

Father of E-mail - a boy from India
Do you know who invented E-Mail?
An Indian a 14-year-old boy named VA Shiva Ayyadurai – Electronic -mail (E-Mail) was actually invented. He allowed us to communicate with one another within seconds. He was born to a Tamil Family in Bombay. At the age of 7, he left with his family to live in the US. In 1978, when he was aged 14, he developed a full-scale emulation of the interoffice mail system which he named “E-mail”. It replicated all the functions of the interoffice mail system: Inbox, Folders, Outbox, Attachments, Memo, Address Book, etc. These features are now familiar parts of every email system.

As Livingston Student
As a Livingstone student, Ayyadurai started his work on the email system for the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey when he was studying at Livingston High School in New Jersey. He closely observed that the desktop of each secretary, in addition to the typewriter, had an Inbox, Folders, Outbox, Carbon Copy Paper, Drafts, Address Book, Paper Clips (for attachments), etc., which they used every day to create and process incoming and outgoing mail.

US Govt officially recognized Ayyadurai as the inventor of E-mail:
Then he invented an electronic version of this system. He created a computer programme of over 50,000 lines of code, which electronically replicated all the features of the interoffice mail system. In 1982, on August 30, the US government officially recognized VA Shiva Ayyadurai as the inventor of E-mail by awarding him the first US Copyright for Email for his 1978 invention.

Certificate-Of-Copyright-Registration
In spite of this discovery, his name is nowhere in modern history of computer science. Lost in the pages of history, he is a name not many of us know. Whoever claims the invention; Ayyadurai will remain the father of E-mail and honor him for giving us an outstanding invention that changed the way we communicate. Hope he gets the name in history he deserves.

Conclusion;
We are belonged to an advanced generation of humans. We seek an environment where everyone is considered free. We seek an environment where everybody is welcomed and get equal opportunity for further advancement regardless of gender, race, and background.
We seek an environment where skilled and great mind gets appreciation.

One in 127 crore….

APJ Abdul Kalam is not 1 in a thousand or 1 in a crore. He is 1 in 127 crore people. With his endless efforts and great attitude, Kalam became the one and only One of the nation.

Missile Man
APJ Abdul Kalam the 1st Bachelor president of INDIA
( 1931-2015)
Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam was born in a very small village named Rameswaram located in Ramanathapuram district of Tamil Nadu. He achieved so much that nothing much is left over. Kalam who came from a poor background later gave his contribution to fields of defense and space research and became popular as the ‘Missile Man’

 Bharat Ratna  Roots
Bharat Ratna would be an apt title for Kalam. The pillars for Abdul Kalam’s great character were established during his childhood itself. Though Kalam’s parents are not well to do, they were broad-minded. Abdul Kalam’s father Jainulabdin was a boat owner and mother was Ashiamma, a home-maker. Kalam during his childhood observed the way his parents behaved in various situations. He related the same to his own life and implemented what he learnt from them. Let us consider an incident that took place during Kalam’s childhood at his home and see what he learnt from it.

Junalubdeen (Father of APJ Kalam)
Abdul-Kalam-Father
One day, Abdul Kalam’s mother was very tired due to excess work. She finished preparing supper for the night and called Kalam and his father. When the two sat down for dinner, Kalam noticed extremely burnt roti in his father’s plate and waited to see what he would say to his mother. To Kalam’s surprise, his father consumed the rotis without uttering a word and went away. After sometime, Kalam’s mother apologized to his father for the burnt rotis, to which his father replied “I like burnt rotis very much…” with utmost love and care.

A lesson from his father
Kalam after sometime asked his father “Do you really love burnt rotis?” to which his father patted him and replied “Your mother had a long day and she is tired. Nothing would happen if one eats burnt rotis but harsh words will hurt the other person. I do not want to hurt your mother. Everyone will commit mistakes in some situation. It is not right to take all those into account and criticize a person”.

The lesson that Kalam learnt from his father was…

“To Accept Each Other’s Faults & Choose to Celebrate Relationships”.

Life Is too Short to Wake Up With Regrets!

Love the people who treat you right & have compassion for the ones who don’t.
